Cost of Base Model Fretless Banjo

(Price List as of Dec, 04 2005)

 

Neck:

-Relatively simple peghead design without plates or inlays.

-Comes fitted with quality ebony, rosewood or boxwood friction pegs that are fitted the way they're supposed to be. (They work very well)!!

-No fingerboard or frets.

-Is made only from naturally air dried and carefully chosen woods. (my choice woods are: Black American Walnut, Cherry, Mahogany and Maple. Figured woods also available depending on availability)

-I offer a carved 5th peg swirl and a choice of a scoop or a simple sawcut at the neckroot. Fancy early Fairbanks style neckroot cut or double ogee can be done at an additional cost.

-The neck and dowel are in one piece and the dowel extends through the rim to accomodate the tailgut.

 

Body:

-The pot can range from 9" to 13" in diameter and between 1 7/8" to 3" in depth. Materials may vary depending on availability. Rim composition can be in single or multi-plys.

 

Hardware:

Mercier Hardware comes in a variety of options. Base Model comes with your choice of Shield, Eagle or W.E. Boucher-Style Shoe with straight hooks and hex nuts at a maximum of 10 units. Additional hook and bracket assembly costs $10.00 per unit. Add Bent Hooks with ball-ends and Pyramid shaped nuts for an extra $5.00 per unit.
