Violins priced between 2,500.00 - 5,000.00
Good French violin ca. 1850's that bares a repair label of Gustav Lantner - Prague. In our opinion, this violin was likely varnished by Nicolas Caussin as this master's varnish work was well sought after by his contemporaries. It is a good Italian copy and the style of antiquing is characteristic of this maker's work. The violin has a very full arching and the back is of two pieces, beautifully figured with a golden brown varnish. Length of back: 357 mm Price: 4,800.00 |
